Free Range 2018 to showcase innovative undergraduate creative talent at the Old Truman Brewery

Free Range returns to the Old Truman Brewery in June 2018 for a five-week summer exhibition showcasing work by over 3000 undergraduates from across the UK. Staged over three floors, a new generation of cutting-edge creative talent will be offered a platform to show works from across fine art, photography, design, interior design and architecture.

Now in its 18th year, Free Range is the largest undergraduate degree show open to the public that showcases the extensive and diverse cross-section of work from the UK’s emerging artists and creatives from leading art colleges and universities. The annual exhibition attracts creatives from over 50 top academic and creative institutions, from Edinburgh to Brighton, and aims to provide a platform for artists beyond their education.

2018’s exhibitors will be divided into four categories: fine art, photography, design (including graphic design and fashion design), and interior design & architecture.

The photography and fine art weeks will each culminate with the FR Awards 2019, where a selected panel of industry experts and professionals will judge participants to award the ‘Best in Show’. The awards were introduced for the first time in 2016 and provide winners with funding towards their own solo shows and personal mentorship in the lead up towards their exhibitions.
