Now the breakout alt-pop artist unveils his latest single, ‘It’s Ok To Cry’, which is out now via Warner Records.
‘It’s OK To Cry’ is both catchy and cathartic as it illuminates his uncanny ability to make heartbreak sound strangely sweet. Ricky says, “I wrote ‘It’s Ok to Cry’ in late 2020 for my childhood dog Lily, who passed away in the middle of lockdown. I wasn’t able to be there, and I took that really hard. I finished most of the lyrics the day that it happened, but it still took me three years to find a version that felt good enough to honour her memory. I think we finally found that version.”
The single follows the recent release of his major label debut album ‘Rick’, which incited unanimous praise from fans and critics alike. Physical formats of the album include vinyl, CD and cassette, and are available HERE.
Ricky is set to play his biggest North American headline tour yet, ‘The Rick Tour: Another Rick In The Wall’, which commences next month and already includes multiple sold-out nights. Now he announces his first ever UK and Ireland headline shows which come ahead of further dates in Paris, Amsterdam and Cologne. Tickets will go on sale HERE from 10am on Friday, February 2nd.
