Brighton’s HEIGHTS shares new single ‘Breathe’ ahead of debut ‘LMSY’ EP

Brighton singer, songwriter and producer HEIGHTS releases the uplifting new single ‘Breathe’, ahead of her debut EP, ‘LMSY’, dropping next month.

The self-produced ‘Breathe’ is the centrepiece of her new five song collection, and comes accompanied by a cinematic video shot by director Oliver Chapman, which shows HEIGHTS against sprawling landscapes as she escapes societal norms in search of respite and freedom.

“‘Breathe’ was always about disillusionment and the pressure that comes with trying to fit into society and the paths it lays out for us,” she says. “I wrote this song a while ago but it’s very interesting how it’s manifested into a whole bigger meaning with the state of the world now.”

HEIGHTS has been establishing herself as an exciting alt-pop artist throughout 2020, with the singles ‘Let Me Show You’ and ‘Let Down’ – both of which appear on ‘LMSY’ – as well as a playlist of reflective songs recorded during quarantine and uploaded to her Soundcloud.

‘LMSY’ EP sees HEIGHTS introducing listeners into the immersive musical world that she’s created.

“As a musician she’s drawn to everything from indie rock to R&B, from aspects of club culture to solitary creation,” said CLASH of HEIGHTS’ fluid sonics. Wonderland have praised her “delicate, distinctive and quietly confident sound.”

‘LMSY’ EP is out 13th November.
